Is Vi Peel safe?

Yes, when performed by a qualified provider and when you’re an appropriate candidate. Vi Peel is formulated for a wide range of skin types and tones, including darker skin. Before treatment, your provider reviews your skin, medical history, and goals to determine which Vi Peel formula is the best fit for you.

Which Vi Peel should I choose?

Dr. Parvina chooses your formula at your consultation, based on your skin type and concerns, whether that’s texture and tone, pigmentation, acne or signs of aging.

How much will I peel, and for how long?

Most clients have a few days of visible peeling, often starting a couple of days after treatment. How much you peel and for how long varies by person and peel.

Can I wear makeup?

Avoid makeup on the day of treatment. Once peeling has finished, you can return to your normal routine. Your aftercare instructions will guide you.

Can Vi Peel help acne and acne marks?

Yes. Purify formulas target active acne, and Purify Precision Plus also addresses post-acne discoloration. A series is often recommended.

Can it help melasma or pigmentation?

Vi Peel Precision Plus is designed for pigmentation and uneven tone, and can help improve the look of melasma. Results vary, and sun protection is essential.

How often can I get one?

Peels are often spaced several weeks apart in a series, with maintenance based on your goals. Your provider will plan the right schedule.

Is Vi Peel safe for different skin tones?

Vi Peel is formulated for a wide range of skin types and tones. Your skin is assessed first to choose the right formula.

Can I combine it with Botox or filler?

Yes. Vi Peel can often be incorporated into a treatment plan with Botox^® or dermal fillers, but they may need to be scheduled separately. Your provider will recommend the safest order and timing based on your skin, goals, and treatments.

What should I avoid before and after?

Before treatment, pause retinoids and strong exfoliants as directed. After, don’t pick or pull peeling skin, avoid heavy sweating and saunas while peeling, and wear sunscreen every day.

Who should not get a peel?

Vi Peel may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with certain allergies, active skin infections, open wounds, or while using some medications that affect skin healing. Recent isotretinoin use should also be discussed with your provider. Your medical history and current skincare routine are reviewed before treatment to make sure a peel is appropriate for you.
