Dr. Parvina’s Approach

Balance first
never just volume

Every filler plan starts with your facial structure, proportions and goals. Product, placement and amount are chosen to enhance what is already there rather than change the way you look, with a conservative, anatomy-first approach and no one-size-fits-all syringe plan.

FAQ

Filler questions

Still deciding? Book a free consultation and Dr. Parvina will build a plan for your face in person.

Are dermal fillers safe?

Yes. The hyaluronic acid fillers we use are FDA-approved and have been used safely for many years. Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body already makes, and when filler is placed by a qualified, experienced injector, serious complications are rare.

How much filler will I need?

It depends on the area and your goals. Lips often need 0.5 to 1 syringe, while cheeks or jawline may need more. Dr. Parvina will give you an honest recommendation at your consultation.

How long does filler last?

Usually 6 to 18 months, depending on the product, the area and your metabolism. Areas that move a lot, like the lips, tend to break down a little sooner than the cheeks or chin.

Does filler hurt?

Most clients feel only mild pressure or a quick pinch. We numb the area first, and most fillers contain lidocaine, a built-in numbing agent, so the treatment is very comfortable.

How much swelling should I expect, and when will results settle?

Mild swelling, tenderness or small bruises are normal for a few days. Filler settles over about two weeks, when your final result shows.

Can filler migrate?

Filler migration can happen, but the risk depends on the product, placement, anatomy and amount used. Dr. Parvina uses a conservative, precise technique to help reduce that risk.

Can filler be dissolved?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you ever want to adjust or remove it. Learn more about filler dissolving.

Will filler make me look unnatural?

No. Dr. Parvina works with your proportions and starts conservatively, so you look refreshed and balanced, never overfilled.

Which filler is best?

No single filler is best for everyone. RHA is flexible and moves naturally with your expressions, which makes it a good choice for lines around the mouth and for lips. Juvéderm and Restylane come in a range from soft to firm for lips, cheeks and chin. Versa is smooth and tends to cause less swelling. Dr. Parvina chooses the right one for your area, your skin and the look you want.

Can I combine filler with Botox?

Yes. Fillers pair well with Botox® for expression lines and with skin treatments like Morpheus8 for firmness and texture. Dr. Parvina will recommend the right combination and timing for you.

Who should not get filler?

Fillers aren’t recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over an active skin infection, or for people with certain allergies or medical conditions. Dr. Parvina reviews your health history before treatment.

How should I prepare for filler?

For a few days before your appointment, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and alcohol, unless your doctor prescribed them, to lower the chance of bruising. Plan filler at least two weeks before a big event so any swelling or bruising has time to settle.

Can I wear makeup after filler?

Wait until the next day before applying makeup so the tiny injection points stay clean. After that, you can return to your usual makeup and skincare.

Can men get filler?

Yes. Filler is popular with men for a stronger jawline, a more defined chin and restoring volume in the cheeks. Dr. Parvina keeps the results natural and masculine, never overdone.

Where can I get dermal filler near me?

Pari Med Spa offers dermal fillers at two convenient locations in Staten Island and Brooklyn. Every treatment is performed personally by Dr. Parvina Ibragimova, DNP, FNP-BC, a Master Injector with more than 10 years of experience.
